I have studied horticulture for 8 years – 5 years in an apprenticeship and 3 achieving a credited pass at Ordinary National Diploma level. I have a spraying certificate and am aware of COSHH regulations.

I have been a practical commercial gardener for over 40 years. I love my work and I believe this is reflected in the high standard I deliver. Much of my work has come through recommendations from previous clients. I have experience of many aspects of horticulture: commercial, local government (in the parks) and domestic. The largest company l have worked for is B&Q in their head office and surrounding offices. I have one assistant but l am able to call on extra help when needed for bigger projects. I prefer garden maintenance but enjoy a mix of both maintenance and landscaping and am proficient at both. All types of work are considered and I only take on those which I feel confident to execute successfully.

I cover a large area in and around Southampton. All work is fully guaranteed and I have public and employee liability insurance cover for £1,000,000 which can be increased if required.

Whether it is a large or small job l am committed to it fully producing the highest quality work possible. l prefer to work when the soil conditions are right even at my own expense because l know that a soil structure that has taken years to build up can be destroyed in seconds. Plants do not grow well in soil that has a poor soil structure.

I am currently not V.A.T. registered. There are no hidden charges, estimates are free and hourly rates are given on request.

I am willing to take on emergency work at short notice.
